Dear Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure and honor that we welcome you to the 31st Annual Joint Congress of the Hellenic Society for Surgery of the Hand and the Hellenic Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, held on the beautiful island of Kos, from September 3rd to 5th, 2026.

The choice of Kos for this year's meeting carries a profound and special symbolism. In the birthplace of Hippocrates, the place where the Father of Medicine laid the foundations of scientific thought, we gather to honor a timeless legacy. The Hippocratic principles of systematic observation, clinical reasoning, medical ethics, and absolute dedication to the patient remain unaltered through the centuries, forming the steadfast core of our modern surgical practice.

This year, our Congress takes on a distinctly international character. We have the honor of welcoming distinguished speakers and colleagues from the United States of America, Europe, Turkey, the Middle East, and South Korea. Bringing together so many diverse scientific schools around the same table of dialogue is, we believe, the most meaningful tribute to the spirit of Hippocrates, who envisioned Medicine as a universal good without borders.

Whether you are an experienced surgeon, a young colleague, a resident, or a member of the broader healthcare professional community, your presence brings exceptional value to our meeting. Over the course of these three days, through lectures, scientific announcements, and interactive discussions, we will explore the latest advancements and innovative practices in hand surgery and reconstructive microsurgery.

We express our warmest gratitude to the guest speakers, moderators, sponsors, and all of you who support this event with your participation.

We invite you to actively participate in the proceedings of the Congress, to exchange knowledge and experiences with colleagues from all over the world, and to enjoy the hospitality, the light, and the rich history of Kos.

We wish you a creative, scientifically fruitful three days and a wonderful stay.

Sincerely,

Nikolaos Tzinieris, President of the Hellenic Society for Surgery of the Hand (HSSH)

Aaron Venouziou, President of the Hellenic Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery (HSRM)
